The Denver Bluegrass Generals in something Andy Hall and I have been 
planning for quite some time, and we could not be more excited about 
how things kicked off last weekend. The idea has always been to bring 
a cross section of our favorite bluegrass musicians (younger, older, 
traditional, progressive, etc) here to the front range of Colorado 
for a unique collaboration in front of some of the world’s best music 
fans. For the first installment we had Sam Bush, Larry Keel and Sam 
Grisman out to Denver for two sold out nights at the One-Up. 
The music and the audience were electric, and the future is definitely 
bright for the Generals. We are already looking at round 2 sometime 
this fall with another all-star cast of pickers, and hopefully 
another unforgettable night of music.
