Emmylou Harris and Ricky Skaggs at the Catalyst Santa Cruz Ca.,JUNE 15,1978. Tracks split on boundary with CDWave. Mild Remastering in Soundforge I got the tape almost 20 yr ago-and my copy was probably 1st gen. KFAT-FM was a sort of Surrealist country-bluegrass-blues station, which is gone now, though KPIG carries on it's spirit. KFAT was no high-watt,big budget outfit and around the Santa Cruz area, the signal was often not perfect. A modest amount of FM noise and analog hiss was audible on the tape. I reduced that, removed a couple of pops, with Soundforge, taking care to use conservative settings,so,though not perfect, it is enjoyable even on high grade speakers. The KFAT archive reels were being digitized to DAT back in the 90's but the guy who began that is a hoarder who'd only trade with the elite few-so a better version may yet appear but don't plan on it. Basically this is Emmylou and Ricky Skaggs plus a standup bass who might be Roy Huskey Jr. It's an unusual format for an Emmylou concert, and several songs are not seen on a Hot Band show as far as I know. Used Nakamichi CR-2A>Turtle Beach Montego to digitize,CD Wave to track without SBE,Flac Frontend to Flac it all
