Original Aluminum Platter / Shellac > DAT > CDR > EAC > WAV > TRACKING > FLAC Grand Ol' Opry Armed Forces Radio Transcriptions A friend who's Father works for WSM suprised me with a rare batch of Transcripts of radio shows recorded and pressed to Disc and sent abroad to Armed Forces radio for rebroadcast to the soldiers at war. These were drawn from the original aluminum stampers and shellac discs The quality is not by any means stellar. The raveges of time are obvious in certain places. What you do get are rare performances of the hits of the day by artists of the day. I will do all 15 cdr's worth. There are 2 - 3 shows per cdr. All are from center stage of the Rhyman Auditorium, The Grand Ol' Opry.... live from Music City, Nashville Tennessee. I have been reasearching these all day and find no indication that they ever were released comercially at any time. Here we go, step back in time to being a lonely soldier on foreign soil serving his country, and tuning in the radio to hear a little bit of home. Volumes 4 & 5 Volume 4 (Disc 4) Show 152A Jimmy C.
