That left a good amount of audience noise and chatter at the beginning of each new track. Also, the original tracking left a 0.6 second gap in the sound at each break. Because of the 80 min. limits of CD media, tape (or, more accurately, disc) flips caused a loss of about 1 minute at the very end of "Ooh, Las Vegas." I fixed these problems, as described below. In order to re-track, I (1) ripped the originals as one waveform per disc using EAC (no errors); (2) normalized the levels and deleted the split-second gaps caused by the original tracking and deleted about a dozen small clicks/pops using Adobe Audition; and (3) re-tracked using cdwav. Once properly tracked, I addressed the tape-flip in "Ooh, Las Vegas." Using Adobe Audition, I patched the two fragments together at around the (7:54-7:56 mark), cross-fading for 1.5 seconds. Although the result is nearly transparent, there is, unfortunately, still about 1 minute of music missing. known flaws: - Dan's lap steel cuts in and out during "Rebecca" due to a faulty cable - there are a series of pops in the last minute of "Trouble No More" -------------------- compiled by: Adam Gromfin
