ACOUSTIC NIGHT 15 : Italian Americans Live and Direct FM radio broadcast from Teatro della Corte di Genova [Italy], by "Il Cartellone - Radiotre Suite", Radio 3 RAI [third channel of Italian national radio], on saturday 9 May 2015, 20:35 hours CET. Beppe Gambetta - guitars, vocals, bass, banjo, bouzoki guitar, ukulele Kathy Mattea - vocals, guitars Frank Vignola - assorted guitars Vinny Raniolo - assorted guitars with guest Jon Vezner, guitar and bass the fifteenth festival of acoustic (american) music held in Genova by Gambetta and his wife Federica Calvino Prima. The Theme of this year's festival is the celebration of musicians of italian origins. Most songs are left unannounced, but many are "hits" by Kathy Mattea, so that you could also feel this was a Mattea's set supported by the others... There are lenghty introductions, and long applauses, before every track, sometimes in italian by Gambetta, sometimes in english by the others, and as he likes to tell stories the spoken parts are maybe longer that the music itself. It's difficult to always understand who plays what, as the musicians frequently swap intruments, sometimes on stage alone, sometimes in duos and sometimes alltogether... This show was played in two separate sets (for a massive 150mins run!), with an interview with Gambetta in between them. Here is the last of a four-night run, and this was the only night to be broadcast.
