Promised Land * A nice recording, somewhat compressed as many cassette recordings from this period are. The levels were too high during the intro, but about 2:50 into Cosmic Cowboy they are brought down, and then back up, where they stay for the rest of the show. These transitions have been smoothed somewhat. A few patch cord pops were muted. A tape flip between Honkey Tonkin' and the band intros has been cross faded. The tape was stopped before each encore. It's unlikely that any music is missing, since there were few minutes of crowd noise each time. These short breaks have been retained, but most of the crowd noise removed. Jimmy Faden - Harmonica John McEuen -- Acoustic Guitar Richard Hathaway - Electric Bass Merle Bregante - Drums Al Garth - Violin, Sax Jeff Hanna - Vocals * w/ vocals by members of Louisiana LeRoux Louisiana LeRoux, sometimes called simply LeRoux, was a pop/rock ensemble from Baton Rouge that was most popular in the late 70's, and still tours today. http://www.laleroux.com/ If burning to CD, suggest splitting before Track 20.
