Tut Taylor Archive Reel #52 is a conglomeration of a number of different recordings. Side A begins with the tail end of a Kenny Baker & Joe Greene twin-fiddle jam session, and is followed by some live recordings (Curley Seckler, Bill Monroe, Bill Monroe with Cliff Waldron, Kenny Baker with Monroe, and a number of tunes by the Bluegrass Alliance) that seem to have been broadcast on the radio. Side B begins with a couple of tunes by unknown artists-possibly Butch Robins & bobby Wolfe, but quickly segues into the Kenny Baker & Joe Greene session which dominates the side. Baker & Greene are accompanied by an unknown guitarist throughout the jam, and they play some lovely waltzes. The date and location of this session is unknown, but I suspect it was recorded at the Old Time Pickin' Parlor, Nashville, TN, circa-early 1970's. Baker & Greene recorded a long out-of-print 1968 LP together-"High Country" (County 714). The resulting analog signal was digitized by a Mytek Digital 8X96 analog to digital converter using Steinberg Nuendo as the recording software and saved as a 24 bit 48 kHz wave file. Post processing and was done with Nuendo using the following Waves Plugins: X-Hum, Q10, LinEQ Lowband, C1 comp-gate, C1 comp-sc, Mixer Delay, S1 Shufflerand L3.
