"Little Joe" is none other than Jimmy Martin. While it is certainly Mac Wiseman on tracks 16-17, it sure doesn't sound like Mac on tracks 18-20, although the vocalist is someone who used to sing with Bill Monroe; further research is needed. I suspect this show is circa early-1960s. I believe that the unknown vocalist after Mac Wiseman that I referred to in my previous post is Clyde Moody. It is interesting that the artists featured in this recording are very similar to those appearing at Carlton Haney's "First Annual Roanoke Bluegrass Festival" held September 1965 at Cantrell's Horse Farm, Fincastle, VA. --Mitchell Wittenberg The reel was a 7" Scotch 7 1/2 ips brand reel The reel box only says Little Joe on the back. The reel itself says Charlie Moore and The Dixie Partners at Jefferson Down. Appears to be just a killer show. The labeling has to be wrong.
