Huge thanks to the entire Sam Grisman Project band and entourage (especially the audio engineer) for encouraging and facilitating the best possible recording for their shows.
There was no way the Zen Barn recording would have been half this good if it were an audience mic only (even if it was on-stage). A single vocal mic was all there was for the musicians and it was at a low volume, coupled with the chatty, sold-out, low-ceiling bar, made the music very difficult to hear well even from the middle of the floor.
