Tut Taylor Archive Cassette #9 is a portion of live WKDA-FM, Nashville, TN radio broadcast featuring Norman Blake and Tut Taylor, recorded at the Exit Inn, Nashville, TN on December 5, 1973. Unfortunately, the sonic fidelity is a bit compromised, but there are plenty of nice duets and some fine solo picking and singing by Norman (including a wonderful previously unissued song). A few tunes are cut at their beginnings or ends, and the last portion of the tape is over-recorded with a commercial radio broadcast. A much nicer sounding portion of this performance is found on Archive Reel #83 --Mitchell Wittenberg Recording: Soundboard:FM? > Mallory 60 Cassette (Type I) Transfer: Mallory 60 Cassette (Type I):Nakamichi CR-5A>SonyDTC-790 (A>D only)>M-Audio Firewire 410>6-pin Firewire>Wavelab 5.0a (24/48) Transfer By: Keith Kreider Tape is labeled: Norman & Tut Exit-In Dec. 5, 1973 Notes: Squeaky hubs Tut Taylor Archive Cassette #9 Norman Blake & Tut Taylor WKDA-FM, Nashville, TN Live Broadcast Exit Inn, Nashville, TN December 5, 1973 1.
