Tut is clearly enamored with the style of the nylon player, and they work through a number of variations on 'Greensleeves' and the then-as-yet-to- be-named-by-Tut mandolin tune 'Griffith Mandolin Society' which appeared on his 1975 'The Old Post Office' LP on Flying Fish. Side B of the tape is a bit of a let-down after the artistry on Side A; it contains a lot of solo Dobro noodling by Tut, some solo mandolin run-throughs of 'Many Anniversaries' which also appears on 'The Old Post Office', and some nice solo mandolin versions of 'Fire on the Mountain'. --Mitchell Wittenberg
